  5. NCG CADCAM is a powerful 3D surface modelling system designed to meet the
  6. requirements of the tool, moulding, die and precision engineering industries.
  7. The system takes the complex shapes typical of mould tool cavities, forging
  8. dies, foundry patterns and precision components from initial concept to control
  9. data at the machine tool. Drafting, turning, and wire erosion are available in
  10. addition to surface design, 2 axis and 3-5 axis machining. The 2D drafting
  11. system permits a two-way transfer of geometry items between all modules and
  12. includes IGES/DXF interfaces. Colour-shaded images provide realistic component
  13. visualisation. Toolpaths can be output by DNC to all machine tool controllers.
  14. Tolerances, allowances, direction of cut and surface finish and machining can
  15. be specified. Multiple surfaces can be machined as one with full gouge
  16. protection. Multi-tasking permits post-processing and downloading of data to
  17. machine tools whilst inputting new information.
